Dental Payment Plans

Dental Payment Plans

At MGA Dental, we make paying for your dental care simple and stress-free.

We believe everyone deserves access to great dental care, regardless of their financial situation. Avoiding the dentist due to cost concerns can lead to bigger issues with your oral and overall health. That’s why we offer a range of options to help make treatment costs more manageable.

We accept all major Australian health funds—just bring your health fund card and swipe it on our HICAPS terminal to claim your treatment instantly. We also welcome international insurances, although claims may need to be processed differently. Don’t worry, we’re here to assist if needed!

We also offer flexible payment options. Whether you choose Afterpay, Humm, or other payment plans, we make it easy for you to get the treatment you need without the financial strain.

For Medicare patients eligible for benefits under the Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) or the Child Dental Benefit Schedule (CDBS), we offer bulk billing to make things easier. Just bring your Medicare card to each appointment, and we’ll check your balance before starting treatment. If there’s a gap to be paid, we’ll inform you beforehand, so you’re always in the loop.

At MGA Dental, we’re here to help you maintain your smile—whatever your budget may be.

Zip Pay

Smile Now, Pay Later with Zip Pay!

Spread your dental costs over easy, interest-free repayments. Keep your budget happy while you keep your smile healthy.

Getting Started:

Apply for Zip Pay in minutes. Once approved, use your digital Visa card at reception or online – often with nothing to pay upfront. Choose weekly, fortnightly, or monthly repayments that suit you.

Why It’s Useful:

Great for routine treatments and mid-size bills – Zip Pay offers a credit limit up to $1,000 and stays interest-free. A $9.95 monthly account fee applies only if you have an owing balance at the end of the month; pay your statement in full by the due date and it’s waived.

What You’ll Need:

Be 18+ and an Australian citizen or permanent resident. Approval and credit assessment apply.

super

You may be able to access your superannuation early through a compassionate release.

How it Works:

  1. Ask our friendly reception team for the Early Release of Super form and they will send it to you along with a how-to checklist.
  2. Fill out Part A and send it back to our team so we can complete the remaining sections. In the mean-time, book an appointment with your GP as you’ll need two completed copies of the form. We’ll send you back the form when we are done.
  3. Go to the ATO online services home page and select the heading ‘Super,’ then ‘Manage,’ then ‘Compassionate Release of Super.’ Submit the documents, including your estimated treatment plan, and wait to hear back from the ATO. If you’re unsure about anything, contact your super fund as they can provide advice on how to proceed.

Why Use it:

Using early release of your superannuation for dental treatment can be a smart way to access essential care without breaking your budget. If you’re facing significant dental costs, such as for major procedures like crowns or implants, tapping into your super can help cover these expenses when other options aren’t available. It’s an opportunity to prioritise your health without financial stress. Just remember, there are strict eligibility requirements, and using your super means it won’t be available for retirement, so it’s important to consider the long-term impact on your future.

MGA DENTAL is partnered with SuperCare, a company that offers assistance with applying for early release of superannuation funds when needed for dental treatment.

SuperCare is an Australian company that helps you access your superannuation funds early to pay for necessary dental treatments. This service makes it easy for you to apply for early release of your superannuation funds for dental procedures that you or your dependents, including your spouse, partner, or child, need.

Please note that SuperCare is not a superannuation fund or a financial services company. Instead, SuperCare assists patients in obtaining funding to access their superannuation funds in advance for the required dental treatment.

CDBS

The Child Dental Benefit Schedule (CDBS) is a government program that provides up to $1,095 in benefits every two years for basic dental services for children aged 2 to 17. Eligible families can access coverage for treatments such as check-ups, fillings, and extractions.

How it Works:

To use the benefit, simply check your child’s eligibility through Medicare. You can also call us and let us know your child’s medicare details and we can check everything before their next appointment. If they’re eligible all you need to do is attend appointments and we will send the treatment straight through to Medicare! If you run out of balance, no stress! Our friendly team will let you know if CDBS won’t cover the treatment and you’ll just have to pay the excess.

Why Use It?

The CDBS helps reduce out-of-pocket costs for essential dental care, ensuring your child receives the necessary treatments for a healthy smile. It’s a valuable way to support your child’s oral health without the added financial burden.

Department of Veterans Affairs

MGA DENTAL takes pride in supporting the veteran community. We welcome patients who are eligible under the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA).

If you are a DVA health card holder, you can enjoy top-notch dental and oral health care from us and not pay for the treatment as we are simply going to bill DVA directly for the cost.
